Berlin Bowling Center was originally built in 1965 in the Strand Theatre building by Norman "Smallie" Small and Dominic Poretta. In the late 1980's, "Smallie" and his son Norman bought out Dominic, expanded to construct a restaurant and lounge, and bought out the AMF pinsetters.

After 57 years of Small family ownership, Norman retired and sold the business (now known as North Country Bowling) to Daniel Washington , avid enthusiast of the game, Daniel just celebrated 25 years working for Xerox Corporation as a technical analyst. Stephen Hardy,  professional bowler and prior manager of Strikers East was brought in as operations manager.

Management of the operation changed in November of 2022 as Steve left to pursue other opportunities. Long time employee Kirstin Taylor has stepped forward and just been brilliant as manager of operations. Dan and Kirstin are already hard at work renovating the bowling alley and look forward to creating the premier entertainment destination in the White mountain region.
